While you’re here, let’s talk a little history. Debuting in 1912, the original Oreo was known as the “Oreo Biscuit” and was first sold by a grocer in Hoboken, New Jersey. Nabisco developed the product to compete with the entirely similar Hydrox sandwich cookie which launched 4 years earlier by Sunshine company. Oreo’s name evolved over the years until 1974 when it officially became the “Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookie.”

1974 also marked the release of the world-shaking Double Stuf Oreo, the second “f” intentionally dropped like a bomb because a math teacher had to turn delightful gluttony into an exposé. It turns out Double Stuf Oreos only have 1.86 times the amount of cream—the horror! Meanwhile, more than 40 billion Oreo cookies are produced annually in 18 different countries in countless varieties and special editions.

So what will you create? Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Design wisely!
